Bessemer Africa (Pty) Ltd is a diversified company whose principal activities in the contracting field include structural steelwork, steel bins and silos, either as a main contractor on a turnkey basis supplying a total project management and construction service, or as a sub-contractor by way of consultants, architects, builders, etc. to all parts of South Africa and neighbouring states.
They have 60 years of experience in the agricultural industry with the design, manufactured erection of steel silos, and due to the need for allied services, storage sheds and workhouses, developed the technology for the design, manufacture, supply and erection, including drawing office facilities, for all types of structural steelwork for warehouses, stores, building, workshops, office blocks, mill buildings, chutework, etc.
Bessemer Africa (Pty) Ltd decided to expand its business by splitting the main products into two divisions and starting a new Company named Bessemer Poultry (Pty) Ltd. Bessemer Poultry (Pty) Ltd’s core business will be to manufacture, supply and erect Poultry and Broiler Houses into the Poultry Industry all over the world.

Poultry Houses
- Bessemer Africa (Pty) Ltd also provides turnkey projects to the poultry industry. Bessemer have also recently completed the single biggest project in the history of South-Africa for a breeder farm.
- Earlybird Farms Awarded the project to Bessemer because Bessemer can deliver turnkey. The project consisted of 48 poultry houses. Bessemer fabricated and erected all steel work for Early Bird Farms. The Civil and building works was also conducted by Bessemer.
- Bessemer have also erected up to 60 Poultry houses in Mauritius for long trusted clients.
